CLEANER - PRIVATE HOUSEHOLD

Job Responsibilities – Light-Duty Cleaner (Private Household)

• Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.

• Vacuum carpets, rugs, and upholstered furniture.

• Dust furniture and other household surfaces.

• Clean and disinfect kitchens and bathrooms.

• Clean sinks, countertops, appliances, and fixtures.

• Make beds and change bed linens.

• Wash, dry, fold, and iron clothing and household linens.

• Empty garbage containers and properly dispose of waste.

• Clean windows, mirrors, walls, and doors as required.

• Organize rooms and maintain a tidy household.

• Replenish household and cleaning supplies.

• Report damaged items, safety hazards, or needed repairs.

• Follow household instructions and safe cleaning procedures.

• Respect the family’s privacy and confidentiality.
  
  

Job Requirements 

• Completion of secondary school is preferred but not mandatory.

• Previous household-cleaning experience is an asset.

• Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safe cleaning procedures.

• Ability to perform physically demanding duties, including standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive tasks.

• Ability to work independently and follow household instructions.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and organization.

• Reliable, punctual, honest, and respectful.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to protect the employer’s privacy and maintain confidentiality.

• Willingness to work in a non-smoking and scent-free household, if applicable.

• Criminal record check may be required.
