Software Systems Integration Engineer – NOC 21231

Omnidigi Inc. is seeking an experienced Software Integration Engineer to design, develop, test and deploy AI-enabled solutions within our SAP landscape. The successful candidate will combine strong SAP development expertise with modern artificial intelligence, generative AI, SAP BTP and intelligent automation capabilities. This is a permanent, full-time hybrid position based in Burnaby, British Columbia.

Job Duties

• Design, develop, test and deploy AI-enabled SAP solutions.
• Design and develop applications using SAP BTP, SAP AI Core, Generative AI capabilities, RAP, ABAP Cloud, CDS Views, Fiori/UI5 and APIs.
• Develop and integrate generative AI, large language models (LLMs), AI agents and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) capabilities with SAP business processes.
• Build AI-powered solutions that interact with SAP S/4HANA business data and enterprise applications.
• Design and implement Joule and AI-agent-based capabilities to automate business processes and improve user productivity.
• Develop reusable AI services, APIs, extensions and integration components following SAP Clean Core principles.
• Integrate SAP AI solutions with external AI/ML platforms, enterprise applications and data sources.
• Develop SAP Fiori/UI5 applications that provide intuitive interfaces for AI-powered business capabilities.
• Design secure and scalable solutions considering data privacy, authorization, identity management and enterprise AI governance.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, business stakeholders, enterprise architects and development teams to identify and prioritize AI use cases.
• Evaluate emerging SAP AI technologies and recommend appropriate solutions for enterprise adoption.
• Perform technical reviews, code reviews, performance optimization, troubleshooting and production support.
• Establish development standards, reusable frameworks and best practices for SAP AI development.
• Participate in solution architecture, technical design, estimation, planning and delivery activities.
• Ensure solutions comply with SAP development standards, Clean Core principles, security requirements and enterprise architecture guidelines.

Education and Experience

• Master's or Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in SAP development, with significant experience in ABAP and SAP S/4HANA.
• SAP AI certification required.
• Strong hands-on experience with ABAP/ABAP Cloud, RAP, CDS Views, OData, APIs and SAP Fiori/UI5.
• Strong experience with SAP BTP and SAP cloud-based application development.
• Experience designing and implementing integrations between SAP and external systems.
• Practical knowledge of generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG, vector databases and AI agents.
• Experience with SAP AI Core and/or SAP generative AI capabilities.
• Knowledge of Joule, Joule Studio, SAP AI SDK or related SAP AI technologies is highly desirable.
• Experience developing enterprise-grade applications using modern software development and DevOps practices is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of APIs, authentication, authorization, data security and cloud architecture.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional SAP certifications in ABAP Cloud, SAP BTP or related technologies are preferred.
• Experience with Python and AI/ML frameworks.
• Experience working with OpenAI or other enterprise LLM platforms.
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and AI model lifecycle management.
• Experience developing RAG-based enterprise applications and working with vector databases and semantic search.
• Experience developing AI agents that interact with SAP business processes.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformation and Clean Core architecture.

Employment Details

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Wage: $64.10 per hour
