Welder Supervisor

Bowling Green Logistic Inc. is seeking an experienced and organized Welder Supervisor to join our team in Morrisburg, Ontario. The successful candidate will supervise welding operations, coordinate workers and projects, and support truck and trailer repair activities.

• Wage: $38.00–$40.00 per hour, to be negotiated

• Hours: 30–40 hours per week

Job Requirements

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

• 3 to less than 5 years of relevant work experience

• Experience supervising welders

• Experience in truck-trailer repair

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Attention to detail

• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, nights, weekends, overtime and on-call assignments when required

• Ability to obtain basic security clearance and pass a criminal record check

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of welders and welding personnel performing truck and trailer repair work.
• Review work orders and welding specifications to determine repair requirements and assign tasks to welding staff.
• Inspect welded components and repairs to ensure they meet required quality, dimensions, and workplace standards.
• Coordinate the fabrication, fitting, welding, and repair of metal components used in trucks, trailers, and transportation equipment.
• Schedule welding and repair activities according to vehicle maintenance requirements and operational priorities.
• Train, guide, and monitor welders in proper welding techniques, equipment operation, and safe work practices.
• Identify welding and fabrication problems and recommend appropriate methods to improve repair quality and productivity.
• Order or requisition welding materials, metal components, tools, and supplies required for repair and fabrication work.
• Monitor the condition and maintenance of welding equipment and arrange servicing or repairs when required.
• Maintain records of welding work, repairs, materials used, equipment maintenance, and employee activities.

Working Conditions

This is an on-site supervisory position in a transportation and truck-trailer repair environment. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong attention to detail, organization and communication skills.
