Mobile Crane Operator

Con-drain Group is seeking an experienced and reliable Mobile Crane Operator to join our team in Concord, Ontario.

Position Details

• Position: Mobile Crane Operator

• Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
• Wage: $52.92 per hour
• Hours: 50 hours per week
• Work Location: On-site
• Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Requirements

• 3 to less than 5 years of relevant work experience
• Other trades certificate or diploma (Hoisting Engineer - Mobile Crane Opertaor 1)
• Mobile Crane Operator Trade Certification
• Ability to work outdoors and in a construction-site environment
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, overtime and on-call assignments
• Strong attention to detail, hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Dependable, hardworking and flexible
• Ability to pass a criminal record check

Key Responsibilities

• Operate mobile cranes safely and efficiently for sewer, watermain, excavation, and construction projects.
• Perform lifting, hoisting, loading, unloading, and positioning of construction materials and equipment.
• Set up, level, and operate mobile cranes in accordance with manufacturer specifications, load charts, and project requirements.
• Conduct daily inspections of crane equipment and report defects, maintenance requirements, and safety concerns.
• Ensure lifting operations are performed safely and in compliance with applicable legislation and Company procedures.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, riggers, and other construction personnel during lifting and crane operations.
• Maintain equipment logs, inspection records, and other required documentation.
• Follow occupational health and safety requirements, workplace policies, and project-specific procedures.
• Maintain all licences, certifications, and qualifications required to operate mobile crane equipment.
• Perform other duties reasonably related to the employee's classification and assigned in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

Working Conditions

This is an on-site position in a physically demanding construction environment. The successful candidate must be comfortable working outdoors and handling variable work schedules, including overtime and weekend work when required.
