We are seeking experienced and reliable Welders to join our growing team, where welding plays an important role in our automotive repair operations. We rely on skilled Welders to perform welding, fabrication, repair, and finishing work on a variety of automotive components and structures, ensuring that repairs meet required quality and safety standards. This role requires strong hands-on welding skills, the ability to interpret technical specifications and measurements, and careful attention to detail. Work is performed in an automotive service and repair environment, with a focus on precision, efficiency, workplace safety, and delivering high-quality workmanship within established timelines. Job Responsibilities
• Read and interpret work orders, technical drawings, measurements, and welding specifications to determine appropriate welding and fabrication procedures.
• Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment to join, fabricate, modify, and repair ferrous and non-ferrous metal components used in automotive repair.
• Perform MIG, TIG, arc, and oxy-acetylene welding, as required, using the appropriate welding process based on the type and condition of the metal.
• Cut, shape, grind, and prepare metal components using plasma cutters, torches, grinders, saws, and other metalworking tools before welding and assembly.
• Fit, align, position, and secure metal parts using clamps, jigs, measuring tools, and other equipment to ensure proper fit and alignment before welding.
• Weld, repair, and replace automotive metal components, including exhaust pipes, mufflers, brackets, hangers, supports, and other damaged or worn metal parts.
• Perform brazing and soldering, where required, to join, seal, or repair metal components.
• Inspect completed welds and repaired components for proper penetration, alignment, strength, finish, and overall workmanship, and make corrections where required.
• Repair worn, cracked, corroded, or damaged metal components by removing defective sections, welding replacement material, reinforcing weak areas, or rebuilding affected portions.
Qualification & Requirements
• Completion of high school.
• Completion of a welding apprenticeship or 2–3 years of hands-on welding/fabrication experience.
• Strong understanding of modern welding practices, including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and other relevant processes used in high-precision aluminum fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and digital fabrication specifications, including familiarity with metric and imperial measurements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear coordination with production teams and supervisors.
• High attention to detail and commitment to producing clean, structurally sound welds, with a focus on quality and safety.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify fit-up issues, material inconsistencies, or technical challenges early in the process.
• Physically capable of performing welding tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting materials, and working in varied positions.
