Records Manager – Business Services

Position Summary

JunApril Solutions Ltd. is seeking an experienced Records Manager – Business Services to provide professional advisory and consulting services related to records management, information governance, business processes, organizational improvement, privacy, cybersecurity, risk management, regulatory compliance and quality assurance.

The successful candidate will assess clients' records-management systems, information-handling practices, business procedures and internal controls; identify operational, governance and compliance deficiencies; and recommend practical solutions to improve information management, organizational efficiency, service quality and regulatory compliance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze clients' records-management practices, business processes, administrative procedures, organizational systems and information-management methods and recommend improvements.
  • Conduct assessments of records, document-management systems, information-governance frameworks, operational procedures and internal controls.
  • Develop and recommend records-management policies, procedures, standards and business practices to improve organizational efficiency and compliance.
  • Review records retention schedules, classification systems, document-control procedures, information lifecycle practices and disposition requirements.
  • Advise clients on records management, information governance, privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance and related business-management matters.
  • Assess computerized records-management systems and other technology platforms to identify operational, privacy, cybersecurity and information-management risks.
  • Develop and maintain records-management frameworks, policies, procedures, control documents, risk registers, assessment tools and remediation plans.
  • Conduct quality, compliance and information-management audits and recommend corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Research applicable business, regulatory and information-management requirements and assess their impact on organizational policies and operations.
  • Evaluate existing management policies, business procedures and administrative systems to determine their efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead consultations, stakeholder interviews, workshops and information-gathering sessions with clients and management.
  • Prepare professional reports, gap assessments, records-management reviews, recommendations, implementation plans and executive presentations.
  • Coordinate records-management and business-services consulting projects, including project schedules, deliverables and implementation activities.
  • Provide guidance to consultants, analysts and other project participants involved in records-management and business-improvement initiatives.
  • Support clients with implementation of recommended records-management systems, governance controls, business processes and organizational improvements.
  • Monitor compliance with established records-management policies, procedures, standards and internal controls.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with clients and provide ongoing advisory support throughout consulting engagements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, information systems, information management, cybersecurity, management, e-commerce or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in records management, information governance, business consulting, management advisory, privacy, cybersecurity, compliance, risk management or related work.
  • Experience conducting records-management assessments, organizational reviews, process improvement initiatives, risk assessments or compliance audits.
  • Strong knowledge of records management, information lifecycle management, business administration, organizational analysis and business process improvement.
  • Knowledge of privacy, cybersecurity, information governance, AI governance and regulatory compliance principles.
  • Experience developing policies, procedures, retention schedules, information-management frameworks and internal controls.
  • ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Auditor certification is required.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and computerized records and document-management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
