• Reporting to: Owner / Operations Manager
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Education

• Registered Apprenticeship certificate

Experience

• 8 years or more

Certificates, licences and courses

• GZ class licence

Experience and specialization

• Documentation knowledge: trans-border documentation
• Type of trucking and equipment: dump truck, flatbed, liquid bulk, straight truck (4,600kg+ / 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles)

• Ability to communicate in English
