Cashier (Sippers Liquor Mart)

Job Details

Location: 10001 80 Street, Peace River, Alberta T8S 1R2

Hourly Rate: $15.25 to $17.00 per hour (To be negotiated)

Vacancies: 1

Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time (30–44 hours per week)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Setting: Retail business

Benefit: 4 percent of total wages for vacation pay

Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: Not required, but previous work experience is preferred. 

Job Duties

• Operate cash register

• Handle cash, cheque, and credit/debit card payments

• Scan items

• Receive payment for goods or services

• Sum up daily/shift payments and compare them with total sales

• Greet and assist customers

• Stock shelves and clean counter area

• Wrap or place merchandise in bags

• Monitor all entrances and exits, request proof of payment when necessary
