Job Description

Job Duties

• Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring all customer orders are accurately taken and recorded using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Monitor cash handling, including collecting payments, reconciling cash drawers, and ensuring proper change is given.
• Supervise front-of-house staff in serving customers efficiently and courteously at the counter.
• Coordinate food preparation, portioning, assembly, and packaging to maintain quality and consistency for both dine-in and take-out orders.
• Track inventory and food usage, ensuring proper stock levels and minimizing waste.
• Assist in the preparation, heating, and finishing of food items, providing guidance to kitchen staff as needed.
• Receive, inspect, and store incoming supplies in accordance with food safety standards.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, work surfaces, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
• Foster a positive, welcoming environment by modeling cheerful and helpful customer service

Employment requirements

• Completion of secondary school is required
• 1-2 years of experience in food preparation or service is required.
• Ability to stand in kitchen for long periods of time and carry out physical tasks
• Ability to provide consistent and reliable services in preparation of foods

Benefits

As per BC Employment Standards Act, 4% vacation pay of the gross salary each pay period or 10 days

of paid vacation (worker will choose).
