Position Title: Supervisor, Truck Drivers

Job Summary

We are actively seeking an experienced, organized, and reliable Supervisor, Truck Drivers to join our team. The successful candidate will co-ordinate, assign, and review the work of drivers, establish operational procedures, and ensure all transport activities adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate, assign, and review the work of drivers engaged in operating trucks, delivery vans, or public transport vehicles.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures, resolve work-related problems, and prepare progress and operational reports.
  • Monitor driver hours of service, safety compliance, and adherence to provincial and federal transportation regulations.
  • Co-ordinate dispatch operations and maintain communication with drivers on routes.
  • Requisition and maintain supplies, equipment, and arrange for routine vehicle maintenance, servicing, and repairs.
  • Train new staff in job duties, safety procedures, company policies, and emergency protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations, and National Safety Code (NSC) standards.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Completion of secondary school is required. A college diploma or certificate in transportation, logistics, business administration, or a related field is an asset.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 months to 1 year of experience in transport operations (e.g., as a senior driver, dispatcher, or administrative coordinator in logistics) is required. Supervisory experience will be considered a strong asset.
  • Language: Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required.
