Job Description:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of logging workers, equipment operators etc.
- Plan and schedule logging operations to meet production targets and delivery timelines.
- Assign work duties, monitor employee performance, and provide training and guidance to mill workers.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies, safe work procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective measures.
- Coordinate the use and maintenance of logging equipment, including harvesters, feller bunchers, skidders, loaders, and trucks.
- Maintain production records, daily reports, equipment logs, and employee attendance records.
- Communicate with mill management, contractors, truck drivers, to coordinate wood deliveries.
- Investigate workplace incidents, prepare reports, and recommend preventive measures.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating logging crew members.
- Resolve operational issues and implement improvements to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Monitor inventory levels of fuel, parts, and supplies required for logging operations.
- Recommend disciplinary actions, promotions, or other personnel decisions when appropriate.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of Secondary School is required.
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year work experience in the related field is required.
- Company specific training and on-the-job training will be provided.
