Position: Early Childhood Educator Assistant

Position Available: 01

Terms of Employment: Full Time and Permanent (Weekends if required)

Wage: $21.00 per hour (35–40 hours per week)

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: 13280 59A Ave, Surrey, BC V3X 3P8, Canada

Work Location: Candidates are required to work on-site at the employer's childcare facility.

Job Duties:

• Assist early childhood educators in implementing programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
• Help assess children's development and assist in preparing learning activities suited to their individual needs.
• Engage children in educational and recreational activities by telling stories, singing songs, and organizing arts and crafts.
• Prepare snacks and arrange rooms and equipment for meals, rest periods, and daily activities.
• Maintain daycare equipment and ensure the childcare environment remains clean, safe, and organized.
• Assist with housekeeping and cooking duties as required.
• Help children develop positive eating, dressing, and personal hygiene habits.
• Assist supervisors in maintaining children's records and observations.
• Attend staff meetings to discuss children's progress and program planning.

Job Requirements:

Education: High School is an asset.

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar industry.

Language: Basic English.

Certificates: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate and First Aid Certificate.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, repetitive tasks, attention to detail, and ability to actively engage with young children throughout the day.
