Job Responsibilities

• Assure the child's safety and well-being while parents are absent by providing guidance for independent activities.
• Support child with personal care routines, including bathing, dressing, and feeding, while adapting techniques to their development.
• Prepare and serve age-appropriate, nutritious meals, focusing on the child's dietary requirements.
• Engage the child in meaningful communication and social interaction by adapting approaches to their communication style.
• Manage the child's schedule and responsibilities, emphasizing the importance of routine.
• Support sensory needs and promote independence while maintaining safety in a supportive environment.
• Adapt positive reinforcement and gentle discipline techniques to the child's age, developmental stage, and needs.
• Assist with homework, appointments, and transportation, adapting approaches as needed.
• Foster confidence and emotional well-being by empathizing, understanding, and encouraging the child.
• Plan activities that promote physical and mental development while considering the child's interests and abilities.
• Care for a child with autism using visual schedules, sensory integration activities, and communication systems.
• Provide sensory input by recognizing and responding to the child's sensory needs.
• Collaborate with therapists and implement recommended strategies to support the child's progress and development.
• Facilitate social interactions and help the child develop appropriate social skills through structured activities.
• Keep parents informed about the child's progress, challenges, and notable developments, fostering collaboration and support.

Qualification & Requirements

• Completion of secondary school.
• At least one year of hands-on childcare experience, preferably including experience with infants or formal training in a childcare-related field.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work calmly, patiently, and with genuine care.
• Sound judgement and intuitiveness in childcare situations.
• Ability to manage tasks independently while staying organized and dependable.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic.
• Cooperative, team-player attitude.
• Flexibility to adapt to routine changes and the child’s needs.
