Job Description
National Crane Inc. is a trusted crane service provider serving the Lower Mainland and Greater Vancouver Area with a modern, versatile fleet built to handle complex lifts across construction, logistics, and industrial projects. We are now looking for one full-time Crane Operator.
Job Duties
• Operate cranes including boom trucks, HIAB truck-mounted cranes (single axle, tandem, tridem, long-reach, and high-tonnage configurations), and specialized long-reach and heavy-lift crane solutions to lift, move, and position construction material, industrial material, and other heavy objects.
• Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, position, move, or place equipment and materials.
• Perform pre-operational inspection before every assignment
• Immediately report all unsafe situations or service-related issues to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
• Operate overhead crane to lift, move, and place materials.
• Place blocks and outriggers to prevent capsizing when lifting heavy loads.
• Maintain visual and radio contact with ground operators.
• Using lever and pedal controls efficiently.
• Inspect crane for safety issues on a daily basis.
• Assemble tower cranes on site
• Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating cranes.
• Attend and participate in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required
Employment requirements
• Class 1 or 3 drivers’ licence from ICBC
• Crane operator certification (BCSA)
• Customer service orientation
• Strong safety mindset
• Completion of secondary school
• Good communication skills in English
• Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, and motor vehicle record review
• Red Seal endorsement will be an asset, but not mandatory
• Ability to Stand, Walk, Lift, Push, Pull, Crouch, Reach, Handle, Sit for extended periods in adverse weather conditions
