Job description:

Location - 15 Sandalwood Pkwy W, Brampton, ON, L7A 1J6

Salary: $36.25 hourly / 30 hours per Week

Overtime: 1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and manage the restaurant's budget to maximize profitability while maintaining efficient operations.

  • Plan and control the costs of food, beverages, ingredients, kitchen equipment, and cleaning supplies.

  • Oversee the restaurant's day-to-day operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.

  • Review menu items, food preparation methods, and pricing, making adjustments to align with business goals and budget requirements.

  • Monitor sales and labour expenses to maintain appropriate staffing levels and control operating costs.

  • Supervise employees, provide guidance, and ensure high standards of performance and customer service.

  • Organize daily work activities and coordinate restaurant operations effectively.

  • Recruit, interview, and hire qualified staff to meet operational needs.

  • Prepare employee work schedules to ensure adequate staffing during operating hours.

  • Train new and existing employees on restaurant procedures, service standards, and workplace policies.

  • Establish and implement operational policies and determine the range of services offered by the restaurant.

  • Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback for professional development.

  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing and purchasing agreements for food, beverages, and other supplies.

  • Coordinate and negotiate catering services and facility bookings with clients when required.

  • Resolve customer concerns and complaints promptly to ensure a positive dining experience and maintain customer satisfaction.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Minimum requirement of completion of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1-2 years of experience in restaurant management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent English oral and written communication and customer service abilities.
  • In-depth understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
