Responsibilities
Tasks
- Calculate and prepare payroll for employees across the company's retail operations.
- Maintain financial records and establish, maintain, and balance accounts using computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Prepare and post journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Calculate fixed assets and depreciation for business equipment and property.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts, supplier invoices, and retail sales transactions.
- Prepare GST/PST and corporate tax information and assist with tax return preparation.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Support financial reporting for the company's grocery, liquor, fuel, and general retail operations.
- Assist management with budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis to support business operations.
