Sandha WoodWorks Service Ltd. is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our growing team in Brantford, Ontario.

• Position: Carpenter
• Location: Brantford, ON N3R 7K1
• Work Location: On-site
• Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
• Salary: $36.05 per hour
• Hours: 35–40 hours per week
• Schedule: Morning, Day, Early Morning, Evening, and Shift work as required
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Vacancies: 1

Requirements

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 1 to less than 2 years of carpentry experience
• Ability to communicate effectively in English

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
• Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites.
• Survey building locations and levels.
• Estimate material requirements and project costs.

Work Environment

• On-site work only (remote work is not available)
• Noisy and dusty work environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, stand, and walk for extended periods
• Handle heavy loads
• Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Physically demanding work
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail
