Home Child Care Provider

Job Summary:

-       Private household in Oakville, ON is looking for a full-time Home Child Care Provider.

-       Salary: $21.00 per hour, 30 hours per week

-       Work Site Environment: Non-smoking, Scent free

-       Work Location: Must work in employer's home

-       Employment Expected to Start on: As Soon As Possible

Job Duties:

-          Maintain a safe, clean and caring environment for children.

-          Prepare nutritional food and snack selections for children.

-          Plan and supervise structured, educational activities, and playtime for children.

-          Provide educational training based on children’s age, including out-door and in-door activities, games, reading, etc.

-          Maintain professional and positive relationships with parents and children.

-          Oversee and promote children's emotional and social development.

-          May perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.

-          Keep up-to-date records of children’s development, routines, and interest.

-          When necessary, administer first-aid or CPR to children.

Requirements:

-          Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

-          Previous Experience in the same field and/or previous full-time training in the field will be an asset.

-          Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English.

-          First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate would be an asset.
