Responsibilities:
Tasks
- Oversee day-to-day food service operations and direct staff to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Assign duties to team members and monitor performance to maintain productivity and service standards.
- Train new and existing employees on food handling, sanitation, workplace safety, and customer service procedures.
- Assist with recruitment activities, including interviewing, hiring, and onboarding food service personnel.
- Inspect food quality, portion sizes, and presentation to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Support the preparation and monitoring of operating budgets, food costs, and labour expenses.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service issues in a courteous and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, stock levels, equipment maintenance, sales, and product waste.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management review.
- Coordinate food and supply requirements with kitchen staff to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the restaurant's menu, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Create and manage employee work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations, sanitation requirements, and company policies.
