Position Summary
Argo Inc. is seeking an experienced Wooden Panel Installer (Building Installation Technician) to join our growing team. The successful candidate will perform installation, repair, servicing and restoration work on residential and commercial properties, including restoration following water damage and construction-related projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical abilities, experience with construction tools and restoration equipment, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, drawings and project specifications to determine installation and repair requirements.
• Measure, mark and prepare work areas for installation and restoration activities.
• Install, repair, replace and service residential and commercial prefabricated building components including doors, windows, drywall, trim, cabinetry, vanities, flooring components, siding and related products.
• Install, operate, monitor and remove water mitigation and drying equipment including extractors, dehumidifiers, air movers and moisture control systems.
• Perform structural drying, water damage restoration and property restoration services.
• Carry out selective demolition and removal of damaged building materials while complying with all safety standards.
• Install temporary containment systems and protective barriers during restoration projects.
• Conduct minor carpentry, finishing and repair work as required.
• Operate hand tools, power tools and specialized restoration equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect completed installations and repairs to ensure compliance with company quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Load, unload and transport materials, equipment and supplies to and from project sites.
• Maintain clean, organized and safe work environments throughout all stages of each project.
• Follow Occupational Health and Safety legislation, company policies and industry best practices.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, clients and fellow team members.
• Prepare daily work reports and accurately document completed work.

Employment Requirements
• Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in residential and commercial installation, property restoration, construction, renovation or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience in water damage restoration, installation, servicing and repair of residential and commercial building components.
• Proficiency in operating hand tools, power tools and restoration equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders and technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and workplace safety procedures.
• Excellent organizational, communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive manual tasks in varying work environments.
• Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence is considered a strong asset.
