Job Description - 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on commercial trucks and trailers.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing of vehicle components to identify defects, malfunctions, and performance issues.
  • Observe and evaluate engine operation to detect irregularities and determine necessary repairs.
  • Review and interpret work orders, maintenance records, and repair specifications to plan repair activities.
  • Repair, maintain, and replace components of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, and braking systems.
  • Service and repair truck and trailer assemblies, ensuring safe and efficient vehicle operation.
  • Remove, repair, rebuild, and install mechanical units and components as required.
  • Perform post-repair testing and adjustments to ensure all systems meet manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Carry out routine preventive maintenance services, including inspections, lubrication, fluid changes, and safety checks.
  • Explain completed repairs, maintenance recommendations, and future service requirements to customers and fleet operators.
  • Prepare detailed service reports and maintenance records documenting inspections, repairs performed, parts used, and identified issues.

Eligibility Requirements :

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience of 3 to 5 years as a trailer and trailer mechanic. or in a similar role is beneficial.
  • Certification: Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement.
  • Extensive experience with vehicle diagnostic equipment and fuel and emission system
  • Strong verbal and written english communication skills.

  • Salary: $36.30 hourly / 30 hours per Week
  • Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
  • Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
  • Job Type: Permanent employment
