Job Description
Mann Bros Meat Shop located at 8615 120 Street, Delta, BC V4C 6R4 are looking for 1 retail store manager.
Main duties
• Oversee daily operations of the retail meat shop, including procurement, preparation coordination, display, and sales of meat products.
• Manage and supervise staff, including assigning daily tasks, scheduling shifts, and ensuring efficient customer service.
• Procure fresh meat and related products from approved suppliers, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely inventory replenishment.
• Monitor stock levels, manage inventory rotation, and reduce waste through proper storage and handling practices.
• Study local market demand, customer preferences, and competitor pricing to adjust product offerings and maintain competitiveness.
• Set and adjust pricing for products based on cost, demand, and market conditions, ensuring profitability.
• Handle supplier negotiations to maintain consistent supply, quality standards, and cost efficiency.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety compliance in accordance with regulations.
• Address customer inquiries, special requests, and complaints to ensure strong customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Prepare daily sales reports, monitor revenue, and assist in budgeting and expense control for the shop.
• Support hiring, training, and performance monitoring of staff to maintain a reliable and efficient team.
• Implement in-store promotions and product displays to increase sales and improve customer experience.
Skills Requirements
Completion of secondary school is required.
• 2-3 years of experience in meat cutting or retail butcher shop is required.
• Good English communication skills are required.
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices and completion of a food safety or food handler certification is asset to have
Benefits
As per BC Employment Standards act, 10 days paid vacation annually or 4% vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each period.
