Position: Construction Supervisor

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time 
Salary: $37.50 per hour
Start date: As soon as possible 
Work locations: various Locations in Surrey (BC) & other areas in Lower Mainland (BC) as per the company’s work contracts with its clients.

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding 

Job duties

• Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of skilled construction tradespersons, installers, maintenance personnel, and subcontractors engaged in commercial and residential construction projects.
• Establish methods to meet work schedules and, coordinates work activities with other subcontractors.
• Resolve work-related problems and recommend measures to improve productivity, workmanship and operational efficiency.
• Order materials and supplies when needed.
• Monitor the progress of construction projects and ensure work is completed on schedule and in accordance with established quality standards.
• Train, mentor and oversee workers regarding construction methods & job duties, safe work practices, equipment operation and quality control procedures.
• Prepare work progress reports.

Job requirements

• Completion of secondary school required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the similar trade or work area supervised is required.
• Effective English communication skills.
