JOB DESCRIPTION:

Business Legal Name: South Island Organics Inc. (DBA Fisher Road Recycling)
Work Location: 1355 Fisher Road, Cobble Hill, BC V8H 0H8
Job Title: Sorter – Recyclable Materials (NOC 95109)
Terms of Employment: 40 hours per week, full-time, permanent
Start Date: As Soon As Possible
Wage: $25.00 per hour
No of Positions: 3

 

JOB DUTIES:

Transport items throughout plant using plant equipment - Bobcat and Loader training on site if needed;
Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually or using powered equipment;
Check and weigh materials and products – including moisture levels in compost piles;
Moving, loading, sorting, packing, unloading, crate and package materials and products;
Clean work areas and equipment at various composting sites;
General Maintenance around various sites;
Assist other workers with their duties;
Perform other labouring and elemental activities.

 

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Some secondary education may be required.
Experience: 1 year but under 2 years of experience is required
Language: English
