Redberry Pharmacy is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Pharmacy Assistant to support pharmacists in the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process prescription information under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Enter prescription and patient information into pharmacy software systems accurately.
- Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and labeling medications.
- Maintain accurate prescription records and patient files.
- Receive, stock, and organize medications and pharmaceutical supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies and medications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy work area.
- Assist customers by responding to inquiries and directing them to the pharmacist when appropriate.
- Process cash, debit, and credit card transactions.
- Schedule appointments for pharmacy services as required.
- Answer telephone calls and perform general reception duties.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
- Perform other related administrative and pharmacy support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Completion of secondary school.
- Completion of a pharmacy assistant program or related healthcare training is an asset.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, retail, or customer service environment is preferred.
- Strong computer and data entry skills.
