Salary: $36.00 hourly / 30 to 35 hours per week

Job Requirements
Languages: English
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Tasks

• Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of commercial transport trucks and trailers to identify faults and malfunctions.
• Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts and components of truck, trailer, and automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, driveline, braking, and suspension systems.
• Perform computerized engine diagnostics and electrical diagnostics, and complete repairs based on diagnostic results.
• Repair and service diesel particulate filter (DPF) systems, including both electrical and mechanical components.
• Repair, replace, and install automatic and manual transmissions, clutches, and drivetrain systems.
• Conduct scheduled and preventive maintenance services to ensure safe and efficient vehicle operation.
• Perform commercial vehicle inspections in accordance with the Ontario DriveON Vehicle Inspection Program and applicable safety standards, and complete required inspection documentation.
• Install, repair, and replace tires on trucks and trailers as required.
• Perform welding and fabrication work related to truck and trailer repairs and modifications.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems used on car haulers and trailers.
• Complete service reports and maintenance records to document inspections, repairs, and work performed.

• Valid Welder Ticket/Certification
