Job Title: Meat Packing Supervisor

Working Location: Unit 2155 - 12191 Hammersmith Way, Richmond, BC V7A 5H2

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time

Working Hours: 30 hours per week

Wage: $37.00 per hour

Vacation Pay: 4% of gross salary

Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Duties:

• Oversee daily meat packaging operations to ensure production targets and customer orders are completed accurately and on time

• Monitor workflow throughout the processing and packing areas and adjust staffing assignments as needed to maintain operational efficiency

• Conduct regular quality checks on packaged products to ensure compliance with company standards and food safety requirements

• Maintain adequate inventory levels of packaging materials, labels, and production supplies, and communicate replenishment needs to management

• Provide hands-on guidance and coaching to employees regarding production procedures, sanitation practices, and workplace safety requirements

• Review production records, packaging documentation, and inventory information to ensure accuracy and operational accountability

• Ensure equipment, tools, and workstations are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with food processing regulations

• Support management in implementing continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining an efficient production environment

 

Employment Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school is required

• Minimum 3 years of experience in meat processing, meat packing, food manufacturing, or a related production environment

• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety regulations

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and handle physically demanding tasks
