Duties and responsibilities:
- Oversee and organize the daily tasks of food service employees engaged in meal preparation, serving, and customer assistance.
- Implement procedures to ensure work schedules are met and food service runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Instruct and train employees on workplace responsibilities, sanitation standards, food handling, and safety regulations.
- Participate in recruiting, training, and integrating new food service team members.
- Inspect food quality and service performance to ensure company expectations are consistently achieved.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, issues, and complaints.
- Develop employee shift schedules and delegate responsibilities based on operational requirements.
- Keep accurate records of inventory levels, product usage, maintenance issues, sales, and waste control.
- Compile food supply orders and coordinate kitchen inventory needs with chefs and kitchen personnel.
- Support management in controlling expenses, tracking budgets, and preparing operational cost estimates.
- Maintain sanitary food preparation and dining areas in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Assist with overall restaurant operations and provide hands-on support during peak business hours when necessary.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of related experience in food service or restaurant operations
