While we primarily operate in the automotive sector, we are experiencing rapid growth and an increasing demand for heavy equipment service and repair. We are currently expanding our operations to meet this need and are seeking a specialized, dedicated Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic whose skills will contribute significantly to our ongoing success.
Duties and Responsibilities
Use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical and hydraulic problems in heavy-duty machinery.
Repair or replace faulty parts in diesel engines, transmissions, and heavy suspension systems.
Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment, including high-capacity fluid and filter changes.
Conduct inspections to ensure all heavy equipment meets provincial regulatory and safety standards.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all repair work, logs, and technical reports.
Qualifications, Education, and Experience
Education: Trade certification as a Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic, or an equivalent combination of education and technical training.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of proven hands-on experience in heavy-duty machinery.
Skills: Strong proficiency with modern diagnostic equipment, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a strict commitment to workplace safety.
Conditions of Employment & Benefits
Probationary Period: The first 3 months of employment will be probationary, paid at the standard $25.00/hour rate.
Overtime: $37.50 per hour (1.5x regular wage) for any hours worked beyond 44 hours per week, in accordance with New Brunswick employment standards.
Vacation: 4% vacation pay (equivalent to 2 weeks of paid vacation per year).
Holidays: Paid statutory holidays as per New Brunswick provincial regulations.
