Kitchen Manager

Un-Jai Restaurant Inc. o/a Unchai Restaurant is a modern Thai restaurant. We are currently hiring a full-time and permanent Kitchen Manager for our restaurant. (We can consider Part-time as well as Full-time applicants.)

Position: Kitchen Manager

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Work location: 2351 Burrard St., Vancouver, BC, V6J 3J2

Wage & Benefit: $20.50/hr based on 30-36hrs/wk with 4% paid vacation

Overtime: Overtime will be provided after 8 hrs/day, or 40 hrs/wk

Education: Completion of Secondary School.

Experience: Completion of a college level diploma or other program related to food service/hospitality or at least 1-2 years of experience.

Language: English

Job Description:
- Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of restaurant staff

- Establish methods to meet work schedules

- Prepare food order summaries for chef

- Ensure that food served and service provided meet Restaurant standards

- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards

- Monitor inventories, estimate and order ingredients and supplies

- Provide regular training for all restaurant staff in job duties, food production, sanitation, and safety procedures

- Resolve work-related problems.
