A minimum of 2 years of related experience in fire alarm systems installation, inspection, testing, servicing, maintenance, or repair.

Responsibilities

Tasks

• Inspect fire alarm systems and related electronic equipment at the employer’s premises and client sites to determine installation, service, maintenance, or repair requirements.
• Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm panels, detectors, pull stations, horns, strobes, and other related alarm system components.
• Inspect and test electronic equipment, circuits, components, and assemblies using testing instruments to identify deficiencies.
• Diagnose and locate circuit, component, and equipment faults, and repair or replace defective or worn-out parts using hand tools, power tools, or specialized tools.
• Test, adjust, align, and calibrate repaired or installed equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings, and complete work orders, test reports, and maintenance records.
• Provide professional on-site customer service and follow company safety procedures and job site requirements.
