Job Posting: Fire Equipment Servicer (NOC 73209)

Position Details

Salary: $36.00 hourly

Hours: 40 hours per week

Employment Type: Full time, Permanent

Education Requirements

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

 

Experience

A minimum of 2 years of related experience in fire equipment servicing, inspection, maintenance, repair, or a similar fire protection field.

 

Workplace Environment

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, and maintain fire extinguishers, fire hoses, emergency lighting systems, and other fire protection equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Diagnose issues with equipment and determine the requirements for repair or replacement of parts and components.
  • Repair or replace defective or worn-out parts using hand tools, power tools, or specialized servicing equipment.
  • Test, adjust, and calibrate repaired products to ensure proper functioning and adherence to manufacturer and safety specifications.
  • Complete routine preventive maintenance on fire protection equipment, including refilling and recharging extinguishers, lubricating moving parts, and replacing worn components.
  • Keep accurate service records and prepare reports on inspections, maintenance, and repairs performed.
  • Follow all company safety protocols and industry regulations while working on-site at client locations.
