Work Location: Candidates are required to work at various locations in Calgary Region as per company contracts.
Wage rate: $36 per hour (35-40 hours per week)
Education: Completion of High School
Experience: 2-3 years of experience
Language: English
Job Duties:
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitute, and other materials.
- Go through given specifications, calculate requirements.
- Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and material required.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in other establishments.
- May prepare cost estimates for clients.
- Maintain safe and secure working environment.
- Fit, install and trim such as molding, stairs, and hardware.
- Assemble and fasten material to make framework or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails and nail guns
Working setting: The candidate should be available to work full-time in the day or evening or on weekends, overtime if required.
Working Conditions: Candidate should be able to lift weight (50lbs). Should be willing to work outdoors, indoors, rain, or shine.
Other Information: Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada. Position is available and open to Aboriginal persons, youth, new immigrants, and persons with disabilities.
