• Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of security guards deployed at a high-traffic retail client site, ensuring consistent adherence to post orders and site-specific protocols
• Conduct regular briefings with security personnel to communicate shift expectations, site updates, and client requirements
• Monitor guard performance on-site, provide on-the-job coaching, and escalate performance concerns to management
• Respond to security incidents, emergencies, theft, and disturbances; take immediate action including physical intervention and arrests where legally authorized
• Execute lawful arrests independently and in coordination with team members as required, ensuring all procedures comply with applicable laws and company use of force policies
• Prepare and review detailed incident reports, arrest documentation, daily activity logs, and shift summaries in compliance with company and client standards
• Liaise with client representatives and law enforcement to address security concerns and maintain service satisfaction
• Conduct regular floor and perimeter patrols to assess risk, identify vulnerabilities, and monitor loss prevention activities
• Coordinate scheduling and deployment of security guards to ensure adequate coverage at all times
• Ensure all team members comply with the Private Security and Investigative Services Act (Ontario) and all applicable workplace health and safety regulations
• Train and orient new security personnel on site procedures, emergency protocols, use of force policies, and company standards

• Completion of secondary school (high school diploma or equivalent) required
• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence required
• Use of Force certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the security industry with supervisory or leadership experience
• Retail security experience is mandatory
• Demonstrated arrest experience required — candidates must have conducted a minimum of 10 independent (solo) arrests and participated in a minimum of 10 team arrests
• Standard First Aid and CPR certification is an asset
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work various shifts including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
