Technical Sales Specialist

Tooper Pro-LED Lighting Inc. is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Sales Specialist – LED Display Solutions to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with business clients, contractors, property managers, retail operators, and project teams to promote, recommend, and support customized LED display and digital signage solutions.

This position involves both sales and technical support responsibilities. The employee will travel to different client sites to assess project requirements, provide product presentations, estimate installation costs, assist with system configuration, and provide after-sales support.

Work locations may vary. Frequent travel to customer sites, project locations, and installation sites is required.

Work Setting and Duties

Various locations; on-site customer service; commercial and project-based environments.

• Promote LED display systems, digital signage products, video wall solutions, LED control systems, and related technical services to existing and potential commercial clients.

• Assess clients’ business needs, site conditions, budget, display purposes, content playback requirements, and technical resources to recommend suitable LED display products, control systems, accessories, and related services.

• Review site drawings, measurements, blueprints, and technical documents to understand project dimensions, installation conditions, material requirements, and system compatibility.

• Estimate installation-related costs and prepare quotations for LED display systems and related equipment, including product pricing, delivery timelines, warranty terms, service arrangements, and contract conditions.

• Prepare and deliver sales presentations, product demonstrations, and technical explanations to commercial clients, property managers, contractors, retail operators, and other business customers.

• Explain the features, benefits, applications, and operating requirements of LED display systems, digital signage products, and control software to help clients make informed purchasing decisions.

• Provide input into product configuration and system design when LED display solutions must be customized to meet clients’ site conditions, branding needs, display size, brightness requirements, or content management needs.

• Consult with clients after sales or after contracts are signed to provide ongoing technical and customer support, coordinate project requirements, answer product-related questions, and maintain long-term client relationships.

• Train customers and their staff in the basic operation and maintenance of LED display equipment, LED control systems, and related playback or content management software.

• Use LED display control and playback software, including HDPlayer and ViPlex, to assist with product demonstrations, basic system configuration, content playback guidance, troubleshooting, and client training.

• Help troubleshoot client issues related to LED display operation, signal connection, content playback, software configuration, and basic equipment performance, and coordinate with technical installation staff when further service is required.

• Follow up with clients after project completion to ensure customer satisfaction, identify additional product or service needs, and support future sales opportunities.

Employment Requirements

Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program of 1 year to 2 years is required.

A minimum of 1 year and less than 2 years of related experience in technical sales, LED display systems, digital signage, audio-visual equipment, electronic equipment sales, or a related field is required.

Experience with LED display systems, digital signage solutions, video wall systems, or commercial electronic equipment is considered an asset.

The candidate must be able to use, or be willing and able to work with, LED display control and playback software such as HDPlayer and ViPlex. Prior hands-on experience with HDPlayer and ViPlex is strongly preferred.

The candidate must be able to read basic blueprints, site drawings, or technical documents to understand project dimensions, equipment layout, and installation requirements.

The candidate must have strong communication skills and be comfortable delivering sales presentations, product demonstrations, and technical explanations to business clients.

The candidate must be able to travel frequently to client sites and project locations.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and pay close attention to detail. The employee may be required to bend, crouch, kneel, and visit active project or installation sites when assessing customer needs or supporting technical work.
