Patent Translator (Japanese-English)

Kakkazan Innovations Inc. located at N400-5811 Cooney Rd, Richmond, BC V6X 3M1 CANADA is currently looking for a patent translator to join their team as soon as possible.

Position: Patent Translator

Position Available: 1

Terms of employment: Full time, Permanent

Wage: $27.28 per hour, for 30 hours per week

Benefit: 10 vacation days, health spending account benefit, transit pass reimbursement

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: N400-5811 Cooney Rd, Richmond , BC V6X 3M1 CANADA

Job Duties:

• Translate patent applications, patent specifications, claims, abstract, drawings and publications from Japanese to English, maintaining the content, context and style of the original material to the greatest extent possible
• Check translation quality done by other translators
• Research various subject fields in patent documents
• Other duties as required

Job Requirements:

Education: University degree in technical/science field

Work Experience: At least two years of translator

Language: English and Japanese
