Caregiver for two children is needed at Mr. Lee’s household located in Trenton ON. Please see the following detailed job descriptions:
Work Location: Private household in Trenton, ON (Dixon Dr./West St.)
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full-time permanent
Wage: $21 per hour
Benefits: Paid vacation days and WSIB
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide constant supervision, ensure the safety and well-being of our children in your care at all times.
- Light housekeeping tasks to create a safe environment and implement appropriate safety measures to children.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary needs and family preferences.
- Assist the children with daily routines, including preparing for school, personal hygiene habits, organizing school materials and following after school schedules.
- Take children to and from school, extracurricular activities, medical appointments, and other scheduled activities as required.
- Organize and supervise recreational, educational, and indoor/outdoor activities appropriate to each child's age and interests.
- Maintain a structured, positive, and supportive environment that encourages good behavior and healthy development.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding the children's daily activities, progress, behavior, and any concerns.
- Provide age-appropriate behavioral guidance and supervision in accordance with the parents’ expectations and household rules.
- Provide emotional support, guidance, and age-appropriate supervision to support the children’s social and personal development.
Applicant Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- At least 1 year of childcare experience or completion of a childcare training program is required.
- First Aid and CPR certification is considered an asset.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends is required.
- Must pass a medical examination and security check, and must be a non-smoker.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
- Must possess a valid driver’s licence and be able to drive.
