Interior Design Project Manager

Job Summary

Emcab Kitchens is seeking an experienced Interior Design Project Manager to plan, design, and oversee residential kitchen projects from concept through installation. The role requires a combination of interior design expertise, technical knowledge, and project management to ensure functional design solutions, accurate specifications, and successful project delivery.

 


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to determine needs, preferences, budget, and functional requirements

  • Develop detailed kitchen designs, layouts, and space plans that meet building codes and client expectations

  • Prepare and review design concepts, drawings, specifications, and material selections

  • Coordinate all phases of project execution including ordering, scheduling, and installation

  • Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and trades to ensure accuracy of materials and timelines

  • Conduct site visits to verify measurements and ensure design feasibility

  • Monitor project progress and resolve design or installation issues as they arise

  • Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and agreed specifications

  • Maintain project documentation including drawings, revisions, and approvals

  • Provide clients with ongoing communication and updates throughout the project lifecycle

 


 

Requirements

Education:

  • Degree in Interior Design or Architecture

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in interior design and project management

 


 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of interior design principles, space planning, and material selection

  • Ability to prepare and interpret technical drawings, layouts, and specifications

  • Solid understanding of residential construction processes and installation sequencing

  • Proven project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

  • Strong client communication and relationship management skills

  • Experience coordinating with suppliers, trades, and installation teams

  • High attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 2020 Design, or similar is required

Assets:

  • Mandarin language skills are considered an asset
