Job Description
Majhail Construction Ltd. is seeking a reliable and hardworking Drywall Installer to join our team in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The successful candidate will work on-site at various job locations and assist with drywall installation, taping, finishing, and ceiling grid work.
Job Duties
- Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
- Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
- Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
- Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using trowels and broad knives
- Tape over joints using taping machines and embed tape in compound
- Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
- Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry
- Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
Requirements
- Language: English
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 month to less than 7 months
- Must be able to work on-site
- Must be physically capable of handling demanding work
