Work Setting

• Auto recycling yard / salvage yard
• Outdoor and indoor work environment
• Exposure to dust, noise, and heavy equipment

Responsibilities / Tasks (IMPORTANT – LMIA optimized)

• Inspect end-of-life vehicles to assess dismantling requirements
• Dismantle vehicles and remove reusable automotive parts (engines, transmissions, batteries, etc.)
• Drain and safely dispose of fluids (oil, coolant, fuel) following environmental regulations
• Test, clean, and sort reusable parts for resale or recycling
• Use hand tools and power tools to dismantle and process vehicle components
• Label, store, and maintain inventory of salvaged parts
• Keep records of dismantled parts, fluids removed, and recycling activities
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Assist in yard organization and material handling
