Position Overview
Aster Physiotherapy is seeking a dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant to support licensed physiotherapists in delivering rehabilitation services to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or physical disabilities. The role involves assisting with treatment programs, maintaining patient records, and ensuring smooth day-to-day clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists in implementing treatment and rehabilitation programs
- Carry out prescribed therapeutic exercises and activities under professional supervision
- Monitor and document patient progress and report observations to supervising therapists
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure equipment is clean, sanitized, and properly maintained
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments and manage clinic flow
- Collect and record patients’ general medical history and relevant information
- Support patient mobility and positioning during therapy sessions
- Maintain accurate documentation and clinic records in compliance with standards
- Provide professional and compassionate patient care at all times
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: College diploma or CEGEP in a related field (e.g., Physiotherapy Assistant, Kinesiology, Rehab Support)
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a similar healthcare or rehabilitation setting
- Language: Proficiency in English
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to follow clinical instructions and work under supervision
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

- On-site clinical setting (no remote work)
