Job Title: Floor Covering Installer (NOC 73113)

The Company GIL3 & E Contracting Ltd, is a swiftly expanding flooring enterprise that focuses on the supply and installation of flooring, as well as floor refinishing. Our expertise extends to both commercial and residential projects.

We are actively seeking skilled and experienced floor installers to become valuable members of our team. Given our extensive coverage across the entire Greater Vancouver area, candidates should be prepared to travel throughout the Lower Mainland.

Location: Surrey, BC

Job Responsibilities:

• Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces designated for coverage.
• Measure, cut, and secure underlay and underpadding.
• Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings using adhesive, rollers, and various hand tools.
• Install hardwood floors, including strip floors, block floors, or plank floors, utilizing glue, staples, nails, or alternative methods.
• Conduct inspections and undertake repairs on damaged floor coverings.
• May be involved in estimating material and labor costs.
• Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants.

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school education.

 • Proficient in English language.

 • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in installing various types of flooring.

On site

 Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

• Physically demanding
• Bending, crouching, kneeling
• Ability to distinguish between colours.
• Hand-eye co-ordination

Employment Terms:

Full-Time Work Hours: 30-40 hours per week, Monday to Saturday (Flexibility based on customer needs)

Hourly Wage: $34 to $37 (depending on experience)
