Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Support clients in participating in community activities and social engagements
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions
- Use effective communication skills to understand and respond to clients’ needs, including sign language if applicable
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each person's unique requirements
- Promote safety by monitoring clients’ health status and environment
- Collaborate with family members, healthcare professionals, and team members to ensure comprehensive support
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided and any changes in client condition
Experience
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a caregiving capacity is preferred
- Knowledge of special education practices is a plus
- Proficiency in American Sign Language is highly desirable
- Experience with medication administration and basic healthcare procedures is beneficial
- Strong communication skills, patience, and empathy are essential for success in this role
