• Work Schedule: Flexible work schedule required, including daytime hours, weekends, and overtime as needed to meet business demands
• Wage: $37.50 – $40.00 per hour (to be negotiated)

Job Description

YST Auto Body is an Ontario-based automobile repair facility working closely with major Canadian insurance providers to deliver efficient and high-quality repair services. We are seeking an experienced Automotive Painter who specializes in vehicle surface preparation, color matching, and refinishing to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and assess refinishing work based on damage reports and repair requirements
• Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking affected areas
• Mix, match, and blend paint to ensure accurate color consistency
• Apply primers, base coats, and clear coats using spray equipment
• Perform spot repairs and full refinishing as required
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality, color match, and finish meet industry standards
• Maintain painting tools, spray equipment, and a clean, organized workspace
• Follow workplace safety procedures and manufacturer specifications

Education

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Work Setting: Automotive collision repair or auto body shop

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of automotive refinishing / painting experience is required, including at least 1 year of independent work experience beyond apprenticeship; apprenticeship experience may be counted for up to 2 years
• Experience in an automotive collision repair or auto body shop environment is required
• Valid Certificate of Qualification as an Automotive Refinishing Technician or Automotive Painter is preferred
