Truck-trailer repairer

Salary: $36.25 Hourly / 30 hours per week   

Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Duties:

• Coordinate with supervisors to review job requirements and interpret work orders before starting repairs
• Inspect mechanical units and observe engines in operation to diagnose faults and identify malfunctions
• Perform road tests to evaluate vehicle performance and verify repairs
• Test automotive and truck-trailer systems using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Repair or replace defective mechanical components and truck-trailer parts as required
• Adjust and service systems to meet manufacturer specifications and ensure proper functionality
• Carry out routine maintenance services to maintain vehicle safety and performance
• Communicate with customers regarding completed repairs and recommend future maintenance needs
• Maintain accurate service records by documenting issues identified and work performed

Eligibility Requirements:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role
• Proficient in English to follow work orders, safety procedures, and repair instructions accurately
• Capable of handling heavy-duty truck and trailer components, tools, and equipment in a physically demanding shop environment
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to maintain high-quality repairs while working efficiently in a fast-paced repair facility
