Psychotherapist (authorized for independent practice) or MSW Clinical Social Worker – Independent Contractor Position – Ontario and Manitoba.

We support children, youth, individuals, seniors/elders, couples, and families in creating positive changes in their lives. We offer evidence-based psychotherapy and counselling and are expanding to meet the increasing needs of our communities. 
 

We are seeking Counsellors and/or Registered Psychotherapist (authorized for independent practice) or MSW Clinical Social Worker to provide clinical services to individuals (children, youth, adults, seniors/elders), couples, and families as well as critical incident stress debriefing. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced therapist who is passionate about helping others and has a strong knowledge of psychotherapy and/or counselling as well as critical incident support. We focus on delivering high-quality, evidence-based treatment, including CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, trauma-informed practices, etc. treatment goals/plans tailored to meet the client’s unique needs and journey. 

This position is as an independent contractor as we seek therapist who are able to provide at minimum 4 hours to 10 hours of clinical services a month or travel to remote communities for a 7 day rotation.  A therapist who has experience and comfortable providing in person and or virtual care is reliable, empathetic and self-directed. 

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • Registered Psychotherapist (authorized for independent practice) or Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work 
  • Psychology, Counselling and Mental Health Skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Critical Incident Stress Debriefing 
  • Membership in good standing with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or  Ontario Association of Social Workers/Social Services Worker (OCSWSSW), Manitoba College of Social Workers 
  • Holds a current and valid Mental Health Professional Liability Insurance 
  • A negative criminal record check/vulnerable sector 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Provide psychotherapy/counselling to      children/youth/adults/seniors/elders/families/couples that present with a      range of concerns and challenges 
  • Able to travel to provide critical incident stress debriefing within Ontario      and be on scene within a short period of time 
  • Remote in community role has a 7 day in community expectation 
  • Maintain detailed client records in accordance with relevant privacy laws and      college standards 
  • Communicate with other professionals as required in providing client services 
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team
