Truck Driver- TRANSPORT ON TIME

Job Requirements
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
On the road: Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: AZ class license
Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports

Tasks

  • Operate and drive tractor- trailer as part of a two-driver team to transport goods and materials across long-haul and cross-border routes.
  • Share driving responsibilities with co-driver in compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations to ensure continuous and efficient transportation.
  • Coordinate with team driver to plan routes, rest periods, fuel stops, and delivery schedules.
  • Load and unload goods at various shipper and receiver locations, ensuring proper handling and safety of cargo.
  • Properly secure freight, including hazardous materials and general commodities, in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain reefer (refrigerated trailer) temperature settings for temperature-sensitive goods, including fresh produce and perishable items.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections jointly with co-driver, including checking tires, lights, brakes, and refrigeration systems.
  • Oversee overall vehicle condition and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
  • Perform basic roadside repairs and coordinate with maintenance teams for major issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption using electronic logging devices (ELD).
  • Communicate with dispatch regarding trip status, delays, and delivery updates.
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation, safety, and regulatory requirements during operations.
