Through strategic investment and partnerships with local stakeholders, Auti Construction aims to support regional development while establishing a strong and sustainable presence in these markets. In order to successfully identify opportunities, build relationships, and implement targeted marketing strategies in the developing region, the company is hiring a permanent, full-time Business Development Officer (NOC 41402) to drive growth and secure new construction projects. This is an in-office position based in central Fort St. John.

Job Description:

  • Conduct market research and analyze economic, demographic, and industry trends to identify construction and infrastructure opportunities in resource-based and rural markets.
  • Develop and implement regional business development strategies to expand construction services and secure new projects.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders involved in development, energy, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Identify potential project opportunities and assist in preparing proposals, bids, and partnership arrangements.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies tailored to the unique market to increase company visibility and generate new business.
  • Create and coordinate advertising campaigns, promotional materials, and participation in regional industry events, trade shows, and development forums.
  • Monitor and research regional development initiatives, infrastructure investments, and regulatory changes.
  • Prepare reports and strategic recommendations for management regarding market opportunities, project feasibility, and regional expansion.

A competitive salary of $60 - $70 / hour (30 – 40 hour work week depending on project needs) is offered to qualified candidates. Minimum educational qualification required is a relevant undergrad degree (ie: business, marketing, economics).
