Experience : 3-6 months of general construction experience.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
Large workload, bending, crouching, kneeling, tight deadlines, physically demanding, combination of sitting, standing, walking, handling heavy loads.
Duties:
- Load, unload, and move reinforcing bars (rebar) and ironwork materials to designated work areas using hand tools and material‑handling equipment.
- Assist ironworkers in erecting, positioning, and dismantling reinforcing steel.
- Set up and dismantle temporary structures such as scaffolding, ramps, barricades, and safety supports at construction sites.
- Assist ironworkers during the installation and assembly activities.
- Support heavy equipment operators by attaching rigging, guiding loads with hand signals, and ensuring safe movement of materials.
- Operate basic construction and ironworking tools such as rebar or bolt cutters, benders, rebar pliers, etc.
- Remove scrap metal, debris, and construction waste from work areas to maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Perform other general ironwork support tasks as directed by ironworkers or site supervisors.
