Retail Store Supervisor

2 x Permanent Full-Time Retail Store Supervisor wanted for “International Fresh Foods Supermarket Ltd. o/a International Fresh Foods Supermarket” located at #7 – 240 Midpark Way SE Calgary AB T2X 1N4.  The wage rate is $36.00 per hour and works 30 to 44 hours per week.  Must be flexible, willing and able to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and overtime as required. Benefit includes 4% vacation pay and continuous learning opportunity.

JOB DUTIES

• Assign, supervise, and coordinate work duties of sales staff and cashiers.
• Authorize payments and return of merchandise.
• Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
• Maintain records of stocks and orders from suppliers.
• Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
• Train or arrange training of new staff and monitor and report on performance.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the supermarket and maintain visual standards and image by making sure shelves, store displays, and signages are well organized and presentable to the eyes of the customers.
• Assist staff by performing the same duties as workers being supervised, especially during high peak periods.

Education: Completion of High School is required

Language: English

Work experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the retail store is required
